In 2017 Anthony Parker, an avid sailor reflected on how sailing a yacht is similar to running a business. He founded Parker and Accountants with this in mind.

We believe that running a business is similar to sailing a yacht. Both sailing and managing a successful financial strategy requires a crew of people using a plan, coordination and multiple resources to reach a destination, often facing numerous unforeseen challenges along the way.

Over the years, Parker and Accountants has grown into a comprehensive professional services firm offering a range of accounting, tax and fiduciary services. This growth was supported by the 2021 merger with another Knysna-based accounting and tax firm, A Question of Balance (‘AQB’), which has served clients since 2004.

We have a dynamic and highly-experienced team comprising four Chartered Accountants (CA (SA)) and fourteen support staff ranging from accountants and bookkeepers to tax, secretarial and fiduciary specialists.
